Mathura is said to be the birth place of Lord Krishan and is one of the seven holy cities of Hindus. This place is also famous with its other name “Brij Bhoomi” and was the capital for Surasena Kingdom which was ruled by Lord Krishna’s maternal uncle ‘Kans’. One of the most famous temples in Mathura is “Krishan Dev Temple”, which is built on the exact place where Lord Krishna was born.
