The 9th day of Chaitra Navratri is associated with worshipping Maa Siddhidatri and performing the Navratri Navmi Pujan. During this Vasant or Chaitra Navratri 2024, the 9th day will be celebrated on 17th April 2024.

Who is Maa Siddhidatri?

Maa Siddhidatri is the form of 'Adi Shakti' (The Supreme Goddess).

The Supreme Goddess initially had no form but when Lord Shiva worshipped Her to make Creation possible, She appeared in the form of Maa Siddhidatri from the left half of Lord Shiva.

She is the giver and governor of all Siddhis (Divine Powers).

Maa Siddhidatri is depicted as seated on a divine 'Kamal Pushpa' (Lotus flower) as well as seated on a Lion.

She is shown with four hands. The Goddess holds a 'Gada' (Mace) in one of Her right hands and a 'Chakra' (Celestial Discuss).

In Her left hands, She holds a 'Kamal' (Lotus) and a 'Shankh' (Conch).
