Maa Durga in Silver Foil In Stand.
The holy festival of Durga Puja is a much celebrated festival in Bengal and other parts of the country, which is mostly celebrated in the month of Ashwin. The festival is celebrated along with the nine-day Navratri celebrations ending on Dussehra. The story Durga Puja stems from Lord Rama’s wife Sita’s abduction by the ruler of Lanka, Ravana.
Lord Rama on way to Lanka with his army to resuce Sita decided to first take the blessing of Goddess Durga before starting a battle with Ravana. Goddess Durga was the patron deity of Lanka before Ravana’s reign.
