What is a Gemstone?

Gemstones in the occult science of Vedic Astrology are widely used as one of the best remedial entities. They are highly effective in harnessing the energies of planets that they are associated with and provide quick & effective results. In fact, it is their easy to use functionality that makes them highly popular & among the first remedial measures that a person adopts to strengthen certain domains of his/her life with the positive planetary influences that they bring along.

Genstone are formed primarily beneath the surface of the Earth over a period of thousands of years. They are being used both for ornamental purposes as well as powerful occult remedial measures for centuries now.

How to select a Gemstone?

A person cannot simply opt to wear a gemstone just because of his/her likings. Gemstones are phenomenally powerful entities that amplify the results of the planets they are associated with. However, since the planets give results as per their positioning in the person’s horoscope or kundli, it is of critical importance that gemstones associated with only those planets should be worn which are signifying positive results for the person.

Furthermore, gemstones fall under different categories as per the horoscope of a native, such as birth stone, fortune stone, life stone etc. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that one must consult with an experienced astrologer to know which gemstone/s are best suited for him/her.

Interestingly, there are certain planets that are not positive for a person on a net basis but are positive for a specific domain of life. If a person needs a positive cosmic push for a particular sector or domain of his/her life, then an astrologer could recommend such gemstones that can be worn for a specific period of time to fructify a particular objective. Once the objective is achieved, the person can take off that gemstone.

How do Gemstones function?

Gemstones are entities that act as a conduit for the energies of specific planets that they are associated with to flow in the subtle bodies of a person and get stored in the form of aura. Remember, every planet has the potential of being positive as well as negative for a person as per its placement in the horoscope or kundli of that person.

If a planet is positive for a person as per his/her horoscope then wearing the gemstone associated with that planet will enhance or amplify the very same positive effects in his/her life as signified by the planet.

However, if a planet is negative for a person due to being ill-placed in his/her horoscope then wearing the gemstone associated with that planet will bring an increase in the negative effects that are signified by that planet.

The reason why gemstones establish connection with planetary energies and become a medium through which such energies flow in the subtle bodies of those who wear them is- “gemstones reverberate at the same vibrational frequency as the planet that they are associated with”.

Gemstones & their Planetary Associations

There are primarily 9 planets in Vedic Astrology that are used to analyze the life of a person and each one of them is associated with a specific gemstone.
